Why I am Shadow Fitness
I am very passionate about living a healthy, active, and positive lifestyle. Helping people achieve this themselves is why I love what I do and made affiliating with Shadow Fitness an easy choice because, as a personal trainer, my goal is to support others to learn this lifestyle. Setting goals is the first step to achieving goals, and if you put in the work and discipline, it will happen. I think working with a trainer to "shadow" your every move is only going to help you achieve these goals. It's not rocket science, eat clean, and exercise! If I can influence my clients to do this, I have done my job, and that pushes me and encourages me even more.
Being positive is a huge part in succeeding to achieve your goals. Living a balanced lifestyle is key and took me a long time to achieve. I was very all or nothing, but practice and time helped me realize perfection is rare, and there is room for mistakes. I am constantly striving to live a healthy lifestyle. Eating healthy, exercising, trying new things, and helping others achieve this as well. I am more understanding to others because I have been there and gone through the changes myself. It is hard to change habits but is not impossible. It takes time, support, and encouragement. Now, let's get started together!

I fell in love with sports at a young age, played through high school, and went to college to play softball. Honestly, exercising wasn't my favorite thing in the world, I just loved to be active. After graduating with my Bachelors in Athletic Training, I didn't have sports anymore. So I started running half marathons and I worked at a Physical Therapy office. Long story short, I got into personal training with a local Sports Trainer and I was hooked. I moved to Seattle and started a job at 24 hour fitness, mostly doing functional motion to help people move better. I became my own client, learning from more experienced trainers to understand nutrition and other exercise techniques. I think it is imperative to keep learning, so I continue to try different nutrition styles and add new fitness certifications to broaden my knowledge. I have never lost my functional exercise technique, but I've added strength, cardio, HIIT, and other styles to continue my own healthy lifestyle and help people achieve their goals as well. My clients trust me because I am very passionate about being healthy, and I give them first hand experiences because I try everything first! I will not give you something I have not tried or done before. I went independent in 2013, working at Anytime Fitness as well as starting my own gym out of my garage. I am married to my husband, Kevin, and we live in Auburn. We have the most adorable puppy girl named Java, she is a chocolate lab and to say we love her is an understatement. Kevin has introduced me to golf, I love to run, hike, read, and cook! And TRAIN.
